Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad
Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad is famous for two things: its love for Bollywood and its love for ghosts. While the film city has been the preferred location for many Indian film directors over the last 25 years, this 1666 acres of land is also the preferred hangout place for ghosts.
It is believed that this very well-crafted film city was built on the remains of the war ground of the Nizams of India. Starting from the month of early September to late November, millions of birds plunge themselves to death by storming into various buildings and tall trees. A few suggest that this phenomenon might be the reason behind the late monsoon wind which puzzle the birds causing them to feel disoriented about their path; resulting in mass death.
Writers' Building, Kolkata
The construction of this building first began in 1777 and was finally made open to the public in the year 1780. The architecture of the Writers' Building, or simply referred to as Writers', is something to marvel at.
While the building originally served as the principal administrative for junior clerks during the colonial era, it now serves as the secretariat building for the state government of West Bengal. Along with serving as the secretariat building, it is also home to many of the ghosts who inhabit the place for the past 200+ years.
Ghosts as old as time itself are believed to lurk around the vacant rooms of the Writers' Building which have remained unopened for several long years. As soon as the office hours get over, no employee stays behind on the property for even a second. After sunset, everyone leaves the office as soon as possible. People have complained that sometimes they hear shrill cries of children and women coming from many of the vacant rooms, stories also suggest that sometimes there is a temperature fluctuation in the rooms while the employees are still working. A few of the employees have even admitted that sometimes important files and folders fall on their own or go missing.

Agrasen ki Baoli, Delhi
Located right in the heart of Delhi, we have this stunning piece of art of 108 steps to descend into a small water body, also known as Agrasen Ki Baoli. Although there is no historical record of who constructed this magnificent staircase, it is believed that Raja Agrasen got it constructed in 3000 BC. While it is a display of brilliant architecture, it is also home to some of the most disturbing spirits.
It is believed that if you keep on descending from the stairs of the baoli (essentially a reservoir of water built during the Indus Valley Civilization), you would be further lured inside to the dark waters of the reservoir. Legend suggests saying that the black water of the well draws people inside causing them to drown themselves and die. It only strengthens as you go deeper with nothing but the echo of your footsteps coming from the walls of the baoli. For true horror enthusiasts, the baoli ranks quite high on the list of adventurers looking for something thrilling.

National Library of India, Kolkata
National Library of India is also the largest library in India. This library is not just a library of books but also harbours stories of the undead. Rumours of this library suggest that the ghost of Lady Metcalfe still looms around the corridor and alleys of this beautifully built library and has been a part of the library for quite a while. One of the few bone-chilling stories of the fort is about the murder of the prince; the true heir to the throne of the Peshwa dynasty. The worst part was that the murder was planned and executed by the prince's relatives to unjustly usurp the kingdom.
Locals of the area opine that they still hear the shrill cries of the prince asking for help from within. While the location is infamous for its horrific tales of murder and crime, the Shaniwarwada Fort is excellent in architecture.
